Tax Preparer

Lee Neville Tax is a rapidly growing small business that was established in 2019. Lee Neville Tax offers services for tax preparation & planning, bookkeeping & accounting, and other business needs. We mainly serve small businesses including Realtors, Financial Advisors, Photographers, and Landlords with rental properties.

You will find that our team offers a very supportive work setting. You will be a valued part of the team from day one. We use TaxDome as our CRM and Drake as the tax software.

Job Duties

  • Preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120s, and 1120)
  • Review client’s financial statements and make adjustments for preparation of tax returns
  • Review individual tax returns with Sch C and Sch E
  • Suggest tax savings strategies to clients upon review
  • Set up QuickBooks Online accounts for client
  • Train clients on how to properly use QuickBooks Online
  • Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquires, and tax notices
  • Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives regarding various tax matters

Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years minimum of relevant experience
  • Experience in individual tax compliance and planning
  • Tax research experience
  • Experience in Corporation & Partnership tax returns is a must
  • Experience in partnership tax would be a plus
  • A team player that is outgoing and friendly
  • Forward-thinking and enjoy keeping up to date with the tax industry regulations and policies
  • Enjoys Training, Mentoring, and leading by example with staff
